Welcome…Home
We are so excited to have you here in Tallahassee to kick off the fall of 2011! Whether you are brand new to Tally, & looking for a church home, or you’re one of our core students we are glad you’re checking us out here. There is so much good stuff coming your way this fall that it’s actually hard for me to believe how it has all come together. But here’s a quick glance of some of our plans through October:
- Four Sunday’s of Free Food…join us for free lunch on 8/28, 9/4 (w/ pool party), 9/11, 9/18.
- Wear Your Colors Sunday (9/4)…rep your school by wearing their colors to church.
- Downtown Get Down & Gymnasty (9/2)…bring $ for dinner during the Downtown Get Down & come experience some indoor ultimate Frisbee.
- FSU Football Facilities Tour for Upperclassmen (9/8)…from the locker room to the President’s box come behind the scenes of FSU Football.
- Fantastically Fun Freshmen Friday’s (9/9, 9/16, 9/30)…first year students come prepared for some dive-in movies, service projects, & an aggressive dinner.
- Fall Road Trip Retreat (9/23-25)…load up & head up to GA/SC to join us in cheering the Noles to victory over Clemson ($60 & space is limited).
- Passion University Tour (10/11)…Charlie Hall, Kristian Stanfill, & Louie Giglio will lead us in a night of worship as a pre-cursor to the Passion Conference held in Atlanta’s Georgia Dome (1/2-5/2012).
- First Love (10/15)…this is one of the many opportunities that our church intentionally takes to step out beyond our walls & serve our community in the name of Jesus.
- Hoe Down (10/28)…just some city slickers getting down on the farm.
- Parents’ Weekend Breakfast (10/30)…if your folks are coming into town for the weekend, bring them w/ you to breakfast & to hear from our Pastor during our Sunday Morning Bible Study hour.
As you can see there is a ton of ways to get involved w/ The Basement College Ministry. Our hope is that for the 9 months you are here in Tally, that First Baptist would become your home away from home & you would join us in carrying out our mission as students to: worship, study, serve, party, & give for the glory of God.
